| Notes: | CHEAP TRICK Decmeber 20th, 1977 Chicago, Illinois Mantra Studios --johnelee039-- unknown tape deck>unverfied gen tape(tdk ad90)>technics rs-t36r>r9(line in)>2gb memory card>pc>audition>cd wav>tlh(flac 8)>you audition was used to splice the 2 sides together. nothing else has been done. this is RAW. the source of thistape is thrilled to share this copy and said its the one used to record the wkqx fm broadcast. there is some hiss, enough to make me believe this is not a master. the last 2 tracks are at a slightly lower volume. thus, it is thus being labeled as unverified generation. at the very least, its a 1st gen source. research shows the tape itself is from the era. would like to believe the 1st 11 tracks are the master and the last 2 are from a different source. it is in great shape and was stored well, though there are a couple of volume drop-outs, but nothing which takes away from the tape. it sounds great with loud guitars, and no one there! such was the charm of mantra studios. 8.5-9/10. this appearance by cheap trick took place shortly after the release of in color. | |||||
