During my eternal quest to free up space on my HD, I listened to this show that I downloaded from Dime about 10 months ago and was struck by what an excellent show it is. This was taped by Kevin Hall and Carl Morstadt and they did a superlative job. All thanks and praise go to them. The only thing that I wondered about was that at TT: 144:47, the concert didn't fit on 2 80 minute CDs. This was due to the length of CTTE and various stretches of lengthy applause (just crowd noise, no music content). I listened to the whole thing and marked out sections of pure crowd noise. It amounted to 10:06, which is a lot of crowd noise! After judicious editing, I was able to fit the whole show comfortably on 2 80 minute CDs without losing ANY MUSIC CONTENT. This is ALL that I did to this show. In no way did I change the audio quality ; I didn't even just boost the volume. (I was tempted to but thought better of it later). So this is NOT a remaster and it's NOT exactly a reseed either, since the TT has been reduced. With all the world wanting to "go green", I thought I'd do my part to save several of us a few extra CDs. If you already have this and like it on 3 CDs, great. If you don't have this or want it on just 2 CDs, get it. It's a fantastic show. | |||||
