| Notes: | PRRP023-ABWH SUMMER THEMES Notes from the Re-Master This Houston show has been known for quite some time to be a high quality recording that suffered from high hiss levels and poor tonality. The first 2:30 of disc one originates from a different source than the majority of the rest of the show. The fidelity is clearly not the same. A few other small patches are also present but the remainder of the show, again, is of good quality. Hiss was reduced using multiple methods. Treble and high treble ranges were quite excessive leading to piercing notes and excess “SSS” sounds during vocals. This was corrected. The sub-bass frequencies were also excessive at certain points and needed reduction. Many small pops were encountered that needed manual removal. | |||||

| Notes: | Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman & Home Ottawa, ON 8/23/1989 Lansdowne Park Deck: AIWA HS-J08 Tapes: Maxell XLII Master Recording Let me preface this upload by saying that I am not a fan of ABWH or Yes. I don't NOT like them, they are just not my cup of tea ... though I do think that all members thereof are incredibly talented musicians. The only reason I was there, not being a huge Yes fan, was because I won the tickets... plus it was the Ottawa Ex ... and the concert ticket got you into the Ex (I always loved the Ex). That being said, that is the reason I do not have a set list for this show ... cuz I don't know the names of 99% of the songs. I tracked it by apparent breaks in the songs and by applause. I was hesitant to upload this because I do not have a complete track listing, but decided to do it anyway because the sound is really nice !! Now, if some kind soul could repay me the favor by providing me with the track listing, and/or letting me know if the track separation is incorrect ... I would be very grateful !! This is a master tape, lightly circulated by snail mail in the late 80's. I recall that we were a little late in getting to our seats so the first track is missing the start ... Enjoy the show, I did, despite not knowing the song titles ... DATABASE IS WRONG ON THIS ONE...THEY DIDN'T PLAY THE SUMMIT ON THE 23RD, ONE DAY AFTER BEING IN ONTARIO!!! THEN AGAIN, 5 DAYS LATER! | |||||
