| Notes: | OK, up front, this would almost seem like a good deal. Deep Purple-check. Great songs-check. Well recorded/SBD quality-check. Nearing the end of their tour and you're figuring they've got the band all tight and the bugs are all worked out of the show-check. And an Orchestra? Waaaaaaak. I'm not sure who thought this was going to be a good idea, but it's a pretty safe bet that the guy doesn't work for NASA. (Get it? He's no.......rocket scientist). Anyway, there's plenty of miscues with the band walking all over the Orchestra and then the Orchestra repays the favor and walks all over the band. Add in some sloppy playing, tired vocals, a solo from each member to demonstrate how little rehearsal time was spent on this project and you end up right here. Ta-da. So, come one, come all. Fans of Orchestra-line up over there. Fans of Deep Purple-line up over here. Please, no pushing and shoving, there's plenty of disappointment to go around. | |||||
