Notes: ("The legend behind this 1965 audience recording is that two girls smuggled a reel-to-reel tape recorder into the show. Our heroines turned off the recorder at times, probably to save battery power, and some tracks are incomplete. "With God On Our Side" ends abruptly; "It Ain't Me Babe" is also cut short. Some songs may just be missing entirely (Hattie Carroll)., At times the girls can be heard, but they're not that intrusive. Mostly they seem to be worried about whether the recorder is working. It was, and the tape isn't all that bad considering the circumstances. This may not be a pristine document like today's audience recordings, but it does put you in the room at a gig, on Dylan's last entirely solo American tour.") Minor Distortion In Places, Minor Crowd Noise, But Not Bad Considering The Age Of The Recording. It's Definitely Listenable.

Notes: LB-4841, (49min), version "b"; AUD, The legend behind this 1965 audience recording is that, two girls smuggled a reel-to-reel tape recorder into, the show. Listening to this is like watching a documentary, film: it does capture the moment. Our heroines turned off, the recorder at times, probably to save battery power, and some tracks are incomplete. "With God On Our Side", ends abruptly; "It Ain't Me Babe" is also cut short. Some, songs may just be missing entirely (Hattie Carroll)., At times the girls can be heard, but they're not that, intrusive; mostly they seem to be worried about whether, the recorder is working. It was, and the tape isn't, all that bad, considering the circumstances., This may not be a pristine document like today's audience, recordings, but it does put you in the room at a gig, on Dylan's last entirely solo American tour.; bittorrent download 05/07; has a light tv band and levels are to the maximum; in 3-way comparison LB-2196 sounds clearer because it has the least hiss; this one sounds harsher and more distorted like its levels were over raised which it looks like they were; (did not listen to all of this)

Notes: LB-3471, (53min), version "a"; Some of these tracks are abruptedly cut; for completists, it's their prerogtive!, Taper: no info, Lineage: FLAC DVD > You, Incomplete mono audience recording, 55 minutes;; bittorrent download 01/06; in comparison to LB-2196 this one has lower levels, has a hiss band, has more high end in spectral view and a little more hiss; the mid and lower end spectral densities are similar; this does not have the pop at d1t1 0:12; the previous was very close to mono while this is not

Notes: This is from my old tape. This is not great but it is better than other tapes of this show that I've had. Originally recorded on a portable reel-to-real smuggled in by two girls (that you hear making comments after most songs). This is probably slightly better than the one on 1965 revisited. This tape is incomplete and not continuious (was turned off between most songs). It probably misses the opening song. This tape includes the incomplete "Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll" that is missing on the better quality boot "Songs that Made him Famous". My Tape > Tascam 102 > Cool Edit Pro > Wave Edit > TLH

Notes: If I remember correctly, this is the infamous show where the two girls smuggled the reel recorder in and taped it. Cant remember for sure though. Interesting document, but not an essential.
