BX-100 cassette recorder (dolby off) > 90 min. Maxell XLII-S cassette > soundforge 4.5 (to WAV) > FLAC 6 > torrent. That's what I call a 3 step torrent, (which means just 3 transition steps for the music you're hearing) and it's 3 steps for you too. 1: download. 2: FLAC > WAV 3: burn CD. No FM static/glitches/pops/pegs/clips or problems, no editing needed. comments: I have over 100 ups ready or already on dime and only 1 is by Aerosmith, so it better be a good show, and this is. (I just wish they had done this here in 1974, because my favorite Aerosmith music by far is the 1st 3 albums, Aerosmith, Get Your Wings and Toys in the Attic.) They do some of all those here. After Rats in the Cellar is my cutoff point for serious interest in Aerosmith concert recordings. They can be a great live band with loads of energy that drives a crowd into a frenzy, and sometimes the energy got to be too much for them. I think this was near the end of their 77-78 Rats in the Cellar tour which was a fairly long one, and at the point when people outside of their native Boston area knew who they were. I think it was in 1973, the 1st album had come out and I was in Florida for a couple of months, wanted to buy the 1st Aerosmith album which was a recent new release at the time, and the guy in the record store looked at me like I was a Martian and said "Who's Aerosmith? What is Aerosmith? I've never heard of them" At the time, Dream On was well on the way to becoming Aerosmith's 1st and by far biggest pop radio hit, and already hugely big news in Boston. I'm not a big "expert" on Aerosmith, but I did see them in 1973 at Dedham High School Audit. (boy I wish I had a recorder for that!) and that was a great time. Then I saw them in late 74 with Queen as their opener. Queen blew them away, but it was still a nice show by both (again, no recorder!) This may be the last really hot Aerosmith show I've heard. I have heard several from 80's and 90's and some of the concerts have sounded pretty good but the music doesn't match up to the 1st 3 albums, which are all among the all time great classic rock albums now. Rats in the Cellar may be the next best Aerosmith release, definitely has some serious rockin' on it, and that's what Aerosmith does best (I think, anyway). Tyler does some good harmonica work in several Aerosmith shows too and this is no exception. This recording is from WBCN rebroadcast, and is complete show. (my recording of the original broadcast was cut 45 minutes into it and not recorded on as good a recorder so this one sounds alot clearer- this one is not cut and the whole show is on here. Not a 2 hour show because it was too high energy a show for them to play any more!) Crank this one up loud! This show was only meant for near-speaker-blowing volumes. It is a non stop rocker of a set, lots of the good songs and they all sound hot on here! Enjoy it! Too bad I couldn't share this with you complete, but Toys is the only track on here on the live bootleg release (it's a mix of several shows). I think there's another live Aerosmith disc with some from Boston in it but am pretty sure that's from later in the year at Boston Garden (again just a song or maybe 2). This is all except toys, otherwise the full show, and a good one. please do NOT ask me to email you the released track. that's basically asking me to pirate official material, even if just 1 song and an aud. at that. that's called copyright infringement with intent (at least, or attempt) to distribute. Not a good thing to get charged with. If you want the whole show, buy the official disc and you'll have it. DO NOT SELL THIS RECORDING! Trade freely and losslessly!

Notes: It is amazing that this sort of music comes out of the drug induced haze that the band must have been living in by this time. It would not be that way very much longer and would take years of struggle for the band to get their shit together again. Enjoy this while you can.
