Notes: It's an Mp3 sourced show and TAO. With that said, it's extremely rare and the show just kicks ass.

Notes: Given the recent hoopla -- it's early June 2007 as I write this -- over the Police reunion tour, I thought I'd upload this gem from my personal collection to tide over fellow Police/Sting fans until more bootlegs from the 2007 Police tour appear on DIME. My searches turned up no records of this bootleg having been uploaded to DIME before; my apologies if I've duplicated someone else's work, though I must say this is a pretty clean recording with some nice (minor) editing on my part (fade-ins and fade-outs). This live performance in Central Park, New York City, was recorded during Sting's "Brand New Day" tour of 1999-2001; it was the last date of Sting's U.S. summer tour of 2000. I recorded this show from a Westwood One FM radio broadcast almost seven years ago and I transferred it to CD shortly thereafter; consequently, my recollection of the specifics are a bit foggy. As I recall, this concert was originally broadcast live in its entirety on September 12th, 2000. My habit at the time was to record concerts from the radio onto a VHS record (since they have higher audio quality than standard cassette decks), then to transfer the VHS audio recording to AIFF format on my old Power Macintosh 8600/300 tower using Sound Studio for Mac OS (probably version 2.x or earlier). The CD that I used to create the FLAC files presented here was burned using Toast version 4.x or earlier (for Mac OS) on an old Toshiba CD burner (the model number escapes me). I ripped the FLAC files from this old CD using x Audio Compression Toolkit (xACT) v1.4b24 on a Macintosh Powerbook (model 1025A, aka "Titanium Powerbook) running Mac OS X 10.4.9. As far as I know, this is the complete set list Sting performed that night. The fade-ins and fade-outs were created by me to eliminate commercials, station IDs, or whatever might have aired during the broadcast at these points. [For those of you burning these to CD, there's a fade out at the end of "Brand New Day" and a fade in at the start of "Roxanne": Therefore, you'd have 12 tracks on Disc One and 9 tracks on Disc Two.] As for how I determined where to begin and end the various tracks, listening to them seven years later I can't recall why the last tones of "Every Breath You Take" bleed into the beginning of "Message in a Bottle," or why I decided to make the last fifty seconds of "Fragile" an extra track. In any case, if you burn these to CD or rip mp3s from them and listen to the tracks with no gaps, the audio is seamless. Note: On "Fill 'Er Up", Sheryl Crow comes out to sing with Sting and Johnny Lang also adds some guitar. Track/Set List: Sting Central Park New York City 9-12-00 01.
