Despite some minor flaws, this is the best representation of what went
down at Winterland in October of 1978 (short of an official Vault
release which we can only hope for). All five shows come from
soundboard sources of varying degrees of quality. Some sets are
spliced together from various sources, with an audience patch at the
end of 10/21/78 Stella Blue. There are some cuts due to cassette
flips.
Special thanks to dug for the sources.

There's a tiny piece of Stagger Lee at the end of d1t07, and about 1' of double-take at the begining of t08.

There's also a small (CD?) skip in Good Lovin', d2t03, at 2:02.

BTW, one can't infer a "probable undocumented EAC step" just from a flac set's having an md5 with it. (Those checksums are smart to include for post-file-transfer checks.) Or was someone who added that to the notes here drawing from other evidence?

FWIW, a couple of undocumented cuts on this source:
- Sugaree cuts off near the end.
- He's Gone has a major cut/splice in the middle.
Unfortunately, these cuts seem to be present on all circulating sources.
