This was a truly special gig for me. Much more so in retrospect. Essentially a semi-private college keg party. Seems some mediocre analog sbd recordings have circulated somewhat from this gig (all missing the set II opener of Golgi). The audience tapes are much better, IMHO. There was one set of audience mics at this gig with 2 decks patched in. If you were hanging out in the afternoon, you could help Paul et al. unload the white truck and get on the guestlist for free. You can carry the electrolux but nobody touches the guitar. A typically great and fun show for the era. Mr. Dirksen has posted a very detailed review of the Mike's Groove for this show linked from phish.net.

This was one of the best shows that I saw in that great (for me, anyway) time period of 89-93... Phish always seemed to be just bursting with energy back then, and the jams were great. This show was fun because the room was small, the kegs were flowing and the band was on fire. Thanks, Adam, for making the conversion to digital and getting this out there.
