| Ryan A. | cdr / 1 | B- | View | SS-DSM-3 > TCD-D3 > ANA(?) > cdr | ||
| Notes: | This would be a hell of a show if it weren't for the thick layer of tape hiss coating it. Apparently recorded with very nice equipment (DAT and Sonic Studio mics), this unfortunately has been transferred onto cassette and dubbed a number of times. Once you sift your way through that layer of hiss, you'll find a typically intense Undertow performance. Tech Notes: - Besides the tape hiss, this copy has some track transition issues and some skips/glitches here and there. | |||||

| Notes: | Nice. Finally a straight digital capture of this show with no ANA lineage. (Thanks Aaron!) Another energetic Undertow performance from Tool. I like it a lot. MJ's voice is shaky at times, but that's nitpick. In fact it's hard to hear him much of the time. The guitar is CRANKED throughout. Too much Adam. It nearly drowns out even Danny's drums, who are always up in the mix on every tour. The left channel is distorted which is the one major flaw of this recording. Other than that, it's a very clear DAT capture with minimal to no crowd interference. There are some recording flaws that are common to the master, detailed below: Track 1: 0:00 - 0:01: small crackles Track 3: 1:41 - 1:42. 3:07 - 3:09, 5:12 - 5:15 (and a few other places in this song): more small digital crackles Track 4: 0:11 - 0:13: noticeable static Track 5: 0:00 - 0:02: noticeable static Track 6 - 7 transition: tick Track 8 - 9: skip | |||||
