Notes: Jimi Hendrix K.B.Hallen, Copenhagen, Denmark Thursday 3 September 1970 The first & third cuts in the tape are very short and clean so these probably are cuts that have come about in later cassette generations. The master must be a reel to reel recording as the sound quality is so good, the second cut occurs roughly at the 45min mark. Notes: There are five known sources for the K.B Hallen concert in Copenhagen. This Is mixed from 3 sources: Source 1 left, Source 5 right and Source 2 in the middle. Alot of pitch corrections were done on source 1 and 5. Source 2 is the most complete source and fills gaps from the original tapes left and right, so you'll hear some panning going on a few times. It also results in some occasional Phasing particularly at beginning of "Hey Baby". Since Source 5 ends with "Freedom" the rest of the concert consists of the two remaining sources: Source 1 left and Source 2 on the right. Overall A VG+ Job in Resurrecting this Recording & A Very Solid Listen.

Notes: audience recording; 90 minutes, very good quality; one of 4 known sources to circulate. PYE lists 5 sources, but most people "in the know" that Ive talked with only know of 4 sources. This is the "old source" as it is known in trader's circles. There is a second complete source also circulating, the quality is not as good as this one. Two incomplete sources exist, but only one of those circulates. The one that doesnt circulate has superior quality to the "old source", but is under a no trade restriction with those that have it. Maybe one day it will work its way out to the rest of us. Tracks 1-10 of the Copenhagen show have been speed corrected as "best as possible". There are fluctuations in speed which have been mostly corrected, but some are too jarring to deal with.

fleaibe (1/5) FLAC / 1 A- View   final Copenhagen '70 merge
Notes: this is my final Copenhagen '70 merge. The last one was kind-a crappy.(for me anyway....) This one sounds more like a stereo recording then a merge, though at times you are reminded of the fact you're listening to a merge, nonetheless it's one of the best merges I've heard:) Up until "Freedom" I mixed 3 sources: Source 1 left, Source 5 right and Source 2 in the middle. Alot of pitch corrections were done on source 1 and 5. No EQ or filter smilters were applied. Since Source 5 ends with "Freedom" the rest of the concert consists of the two remaining sources: Source 1 left and Source 2 on the right. I remixed the 'pre-Red House' part to omit source 2, leaving Source 1 and 2 left and right respectively.(in the 'Merge Mix Source 1 and 5' folder) But Source 2 is still used to fill gaps. I am tempted to re-do "Hey Baby" since some phasing occurs at the very beginning. This occurs a few times throughout the merge, though very briefly. Also source 5 begins to stutter violently during "Hey Baby" followed by a gap then resumes and continues to stutter well into "AATW". I chose to cover it up with source 2 and by keeping source 5 lower in the mix until the 'stutter-part' was over. (this isn't the case with the 1 and 5 mix) Source 2 is the most complete source and fills gaps from the original tapes left and right so you'll hear some panning going on a few times. My guess is Jimi played in Eb that evening tuning down only 1/2 step. His voice sounds like at IOW. When I tried E tuning suddenly Jimi sounded like 1967. D was even worse. since I wasn't there I'm not 100% sure. Enjoy Vibratory
