Notes: Lineage: Cass Master to HIFI > DAT(0)(48kHz) > Sony SDT-9000 > DAT2WAV > WAV > TLH > FLAC (level 5) No encores. DAT2WAV didn't detect any errors. Neon Recorder 1 (Secondary Source - Encores) - Wotjek (https://ravinganddrooling.com/forum/archives/pink-floyd-and-pf-solo-member-audio-torrents/43640-) Recorder 2 - Roughcut's Incomplete 1st Gen (https://ravinganddrooling.com/forum/archives/pink-floyd-and-pf-solo-member-audio-torrents/106217-) Lineage - Source Files > REAPER (Syncing and Mastering) > 24 bit WAV (Untracked) > 16-48 FLAC 8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Notes: Ello there, and welcome to one of my latest projects I have worked on for you all to enjoy: "A Greater Set". This is the name of the release after the infamous bootleg title of the night before this show in Oakland. In my opinion, where this one lacks the quality of the other Oakland show, it makes up for in performance; hence the title for this release. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mastering Notes: Rec 2 is the Primary source. It has been speed corrected by 57 cents, EQ'd with a gain decrease of -4.2dB and panned 80% left where matrixed. Rec 1 is speed corrected to Rec 2 with values between -15 and -78 cents. It has been EQ'd with a gain increase of 2.5dB (6.7dB louder than Rec 2) and panned 50% right where matrixed. For set 2 onwards, Rec 1's mastered channel is panned right, whereas the raw is panned left with a gain increase (0.8dB for Set 2, 1.6dB for Encores). Speed correction was then applied, with Set 2 by -55 cents, Money by -35 cents, and Us And Them by -36 cents. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Final Notes: Included in this upload are some bonus files including ticket scans from Atomicgamer400, a fantastic cover by WorldmanOne, and other goodies sourced from the internet such as Roger Ressmeyer's photos. Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone behind these recordings and this project, including but not limited to: - The tapers - neonknight (Providing a new and improved R1 source for this release) - Wotjek and Roughcut (Providing the other sources for R1 and R2) - Atomicgamer400 (Providing ticket scans) - WorldmanOne (Providing a cover for this release) As always, share freely, don't convert to MP3 unless for personal use, DON'T CHARGE ANYONE FOR FREE MUSIC, etc. Enjoy and Cheerio! Notes: X-ref: „Spit In The Fan”, „Oakland Coliseum 10.5.77”. Media: 2 CDR Source: Audience Recorder I Venue: May 10th, 1977 – Alameda Coliseum, Oakland, California, USA. Notes: A part of the nort american leg of the 1977 "In The Flesh" world tour. Roger Waters didn't yell any number during "Pigs". Very good technical quality (much better than „Spit On The Fan”). Discs' division compatible with the course of the show. Absolutely error-free version (no digital clicks). Revised copy. Balanced. Speed corrected.

chris (3/3) CD / 2 C View   Aud
Notes: A very distant sounding Aud recording, NOWHERE in comparison to the 5-9-77 "In The Flesh" show. Probably recorded from the stands. Only reason it doesn't get a worse recording is because it has little if any hiss.

Notes: Generation: cass[low/some say master clone] > FLAC Info file says, "claimed to be recorder 2, this is really the same recorder as the other Wojtek release. Some say this comes from the master ... master or not, it sounds a lil better than the other release, this one is much more clearer really, reveals some hiss but we gain in brightness here. I think the encores were patched from the Wojtek release, since some versions i saw of this don't include the encores, but, here we have the encores and a bit of tape/mic issues and audience noise before Money that it's not on the wojtek release, so who knows for sure, maybe they are from the main source too and just sound different because the taper moved, who knows. I think there's a change of sound when the recording cuts at SOYCD 6-9, when it continues it sounds a bit darker than the rest. But the encores sound pretty similar really with the ones of the Wojtek version, they could be the same. Anyway this is well worth for the 'main source', and to me is an upgrade to the Wojtek release. -gbc"
