Notes: “The concert was originally broadcast on WNEW from New York. According to former WNEW-FM DJ Richard Neer in his book, 'FM', there was no mixing of the show being done by the radio station engineers; the feed going out over the air was what the guy doing Yes' sound sent out. (This was because the manager of WNEW at the time was too cheap to pay Neer and a sound engineer companion of his the few hundred bucks extra they would have charged to do an on-the-fly broadcast mix). Hence the rather interesting variations in sound quality as the show progressed.” –Forgotten Yesterdays.com It is with great pleasure that we now bring you this remaster of a legendary performance by a legendary band. Enjoy this great 1976 moment with Yes. Notes from the Re-master: Since the source for this concert is a radio broadcast, the sound quality is generally good to begin with. The actual source was a CD version of the master tapes obtained from the broadcasting radio station WNEW. We would like to thank Shaun Toole for providing this source to us. Viable music signal was present up to 18,000 Hz. This is quite rare for progressive rock concerts available from the 1970’s and makes this recording quite unique. A radio transmission or microphone / patch cord buzz occurred in the left channel off and on throughout the show and needed to be corrected. Fortunately, the buzz was specifically identified in the frequency spectrum and was surgically attacked. This approach produced a minimal effect on the remainder of the music. Pops and clicks occurred frequently and were manually removed. Radio announcer volume was out of proportion to the music in some segments and needed to be adjusted. Finally, only a slight amount of noise reduction was needed during quite segments.

Notes: Lineage: Feed from stadium to either WMMR, Philadelphia, or WNEW, New York -> archived tape -> another tape -> CD-R -> TheTooleMan (Sound Forge) -> CD-R -> EAC -> Sound Forge (minor edits to remove ONLY the released parts of the show) -> FLAC Excellent audio quality - the best there is. Go no further. Destroy your other versions and free the space in your collection. Accept no substitutes. You need no others. This is it. Disk 2 Track 10, "I'm Down," was released on the YesYears box set, so it has been omitted from this torrent. You can insert your copy of "I'm Down" from YesYears, if you have it. (The audio quality of this version of "I'm Down" is better than on YesYears. Sorry, I can't share it with you.) Art is included in the torrent. I created the art from photos of Roosevelt Stadium which were sent to me by the son of a man who worked in the Offices of the City of Jersey City, New Jersey.

Notes: This one's a must have. - A crystal clear FM broadcast from the '76 Solo Album tour. I'll take this over 'Yesshows' anyday. So much more clear/vibrant/dynamic than the old 'Story of Relayer' boot of this show. Man they were smoking here. I haven't found a Gates more powerful and breathtaking than the one captured this night. Particularly Alan's playing on it. He is on FIRE! Fills, imrov's everywhere. * This version is the 'raw' recording, before Shaun Toole remastered it. - If you prefer your shows pure like that, as I often do.

I haven't found a Gates more powerful and breathtaking than the one captured this night. Particularly Alan's playing on it. He is on FIRE! So much more clear/vibrant/dynamic than the old 'Story of Relayer' boot of this show. Shaun's remaster includes (quotes verbatim): - dynamics processing to fatten up the mix and reduce dramatic volume changes - equalization - phase correction - restoring the bottom end - hand editing the WAV files to fix drop-outs and sudden volume changes - light editing to smooth out transitions between songs - edited out the gap in Ritual with no loss in music
