Notes: Lineage: 1st gen>DAT(4)>CDR2>FLAC Comments: i got this in trade. this source is raw with no remastering. there was another 1st gen>DAT torrented here but was NR'd(metallic sound). the EV release Boston after dark, sounded the same as the torrent version. they must have been from the same source? this version doesnt have the 30sec long intro that was on the other 1st gen unfortunately but i think the sound is nicer than both.

Notes: This is a decent sounding recording, taped from a slight distant from the stage, a little muddy in some places, but does have some moments of clarity, and is quite enjoyable. The tape is a little more heavy on treble than it is on low end, the bass and drum fills are a little low in the mix. The goal of this project was to try and bring out some more low end in the recording, and create more balance to the instruments. What we've done to make this project: - We've reduced the volume of the raw recording a bit, the raw tape was originally running a little hot, so we've brought the volume down to a more reasonable level. - We've tried to balance the instruments as best we could, originally the guitar was the most up front in the mix than the bass and drums were, so we've tried to balance the sound as best we could. - We've tried to reduce as much tape hiss as possible.

Notes: This is NOT Boston After Dark. Boston After Dark is missing the first 35 seconds of this show, though it is taken form the same source as this recording. This recording has those first 35 seconds, though there is persistant tape hiss throughout. I will be EQing this to remove tape hiss. I do not offer my personal remasters, however, except by special request, out of respect for the purists (and I mean that in a good way, promise :D).
