We arrived a 4-5 hours before the show due to traffic. But man was it nice to be there. This was a great way to spend a new years

Anyone who went to this NYE party has a few stories. Here's some of what I remember of the day and what led up to it. Drove from NJ to I-75 (Aligator Alley) with no problem and no sleep. Upon reaching that road the traffic began. That was 5pm on 12/29. The going was beyond slow. Took my bike off the rack and drove up the highway around 8 or 9 to see what the deal was. I got five miles up the road and was stopped by a cop who told me to get back in my car or I'd be arrested. So I turned around. All I saw were more cars ahead. So once I got back to the car and told everyone that we weren't going anywhere for a while, we started drinking. This lasted until around 1 or 2 in the morning. Now... anyone concerned about drinking and driving don't worry. To conserve gas we put the car in neutral and pushed it. I would like to thank all those with campers who let us use their bathrooms. Much appreciated. Well, around 5 or 6 in the morning and having not moved much overnight I decided I had had it. I hadn't slept in over 48 hours and decided to drive on the median until I got to where ever it was we were going. I had been bitchin' about other people doing that all night, but let me tell you it cut at least 2 hours off our total wait time. We finally got to the gate around 8 am. Getting into the Reservation was interesting. There was this long winding road. I was so tired I was hallucinating at this point and was a bit concerned about my driving, but we made it ok. Once inside, instead of sleeping like everyone else I decided to wander. Found some goodies and good thing too. I didn't see anymore the rest of the time there. The grounds and whole basic set up were incredible. As for the show, I don't have much recollection. I took a hit during the first set and combine that with 3 days of no sleep my brain was fried. I went to sleep between sets and didn't wake up 'til after it was over. Damn shame. It's the only time I ever fell asleep while tripping.

My 25th show!!! Drove from Jersey, through Atlanta to pick up a good friend and then got to chill at his parents vacation house on Upper Captiva (an island on the west coast outside of Ft. Meyers) for 4 days before going to the show. Drove in last day before the festivities, sat in no traffic only to have a Florida State trooper tell me he's been to Jersey and had been to a bar 7 blocks from my place in Belmar, DJ's. One in a million!!!!
Classis prep for the SHOW to come!!!!!!!!!!

I think this was the better day of the 2 in Florida. The playing and jams were much tighter and well thought out. Maybe everyone had a clearer head today. One of the best times of my life!
