To kick off 2024, here is one of my latest projects I have worked on for you all to enjoy: "Warble On You Crazy Diamond", named after the amount of flutter Recorder 2 has during this song (which I have fortunately mitigated!) Rec 2 is the Primary source. It has been de-fluttered (with RX8's plugin), EQ'd as well as de-clicked, with gain changes applied in each channel for balancing, as well as in the overall mix to not overpower sections where Recorder 2 compromises the quality (e.g. fluttering in Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts V and VI). There was also a brief left channel dropout during Have A Cigar which I have restored. Rec 1 is speed corrected to Rec 2 with values between -7 and 55 cents. It has been EQ'd with gain changes between -1.30dB (Shine On You Crazy Diamond Suite) and +1.50dB (You've Got To Be Crazy). Once done, I then applied speed correction to each song by referencing Sigma 200's speed. For the rest of the show, this was the source used due to the speed correction as well as balancing and level adjustment, with my EQ then applied on top. Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone behind these recordings and this project, including but not limited to: - Jared Houser (Recorder 1) - JEMS and berlin (The people behind the release of the recordings) - WorldmanOne (Creating the cover) - Atomicgamer400 (Providing extras) As always, share freely, don't convert to MP3 unless for personal use, DON'T CHARGE ANYONE FOR FREE MUSIC, etc. Enjoy and Cheerio! Notes: CSP remaster: cdr>eac>flac More of a clean up job than anything but I decided to take the time to fix this real quick so I could listen to it properly, however it definitely needed more attention than I thought. First off, the repeated sections ranging from one minute to 10 seconds were all fixed. I also found plenty of digi pops that were 99% removed. I smoothed out the tape flips and glitches, along with toning down the microphone disturbances that were all over the place. Clearly the taper had some problems which may also be the reason why there was a cut on Dogs and account the high buzz in the 10k range that plagues part of this recording. Due to this very annoying factor, I debated whether or not to carefully notch this out or not, which doesn't disturb the recording that much. However, I decided to just leave it alone in case anyone would object to muffling it down a tad and hopefully the master or something closer will surface at some point. In any case, I fixed the level problem on "Shine On" and properly faded out those tracks that needed to be. Lastly, everything was reindexed to make this flow better. Well, I think that's it. Enjoy.

Notes: Tracks: 5 Total Length: 54:29 Recorder: 2 Experimental Energy (MCD016) I've had this on Scotch 207 reel from a trade shortly after the concert. It's incomplete, there's a warble at the beginning of Shine On Pt. 6-10 and a glitch around 3:13 - 3:19. Nice sounding tape, though. Taper was someone named Steven from Ann Arbor, MI. The tape in circulation has a cut in You've Gotta Be Crazy, and no such cut is present in this recording. - sst Tape Transfer by sst Digitally Remastered by Marooned on 2005-05-17
