Notes: 129:43 min A Combo Mix of Aud & Sbd. The Aud is from the 2nd gen that has been EQ'd and is too hissy and not as good as the raw 2nd gen transfer source. the Sbd is near mint. (Dime 2009) I prefer the raw audience instead
George Rue (5/5) CD / 2 B View   2nd gen (olvator source Nov 2009 Dime)>Flac
Notes: 124:18 min (A bit muddy, but clean sounding) this is the complete original audience source that's been around since the beginning of time. I had this in my tape collection for 15 years, before Olvator dug is out of the basement and uploaded his 2nd gen tapes. the best available version. the upload played slow by a whole note. speed corrected up to 46,100Hz and that fixed the pitch.

Notes: Title: Legendary Night in Hamburg Remastering is just a Hobby.. take it and enjoy or just pass on it. The choice is yours. This version is never meant to be definitive. AUD - Unknown Gen Analog - 2CDR3 - EAC - Remaster SBD - 1st Gen Analog - DAT2 - Remaster . AUD source is distant muffled and muddy.. I would rate it a 4-5/10 just tried to clean it up and make it clear. SBD source is very good. Cleaned it up and tried to give it more depth and richen the sound a tad.

Edgar H (4/5) / 2 View   audience recording (2nd source) 2nd gen complete show: reel > cassette > cassette > wav...
Notes: olvator: I got these two cassettes from the original taper about 15 years ago. As far as I remember, my cassettes were dubs from his 1st gen safety copies (cassettes) he had made at some point during the Seventies. If the original reels still exist I don«t know, I have completely lost touch with that guy, and only vaguely remember his name. Anyway, I had always thought, that all the existing bootlegs from this show were probably also sourced from his tapes, and that my copy might actually be just some tapes of worse quality transfers than the known bootleg releases. Which is why I never treated my cassettes with much repect, they have already been lying in the dirt of my cellar without covers for years (!!!). Yes, they have suffered. But while revisiting them today, I found out (with the help of DIME member "acapulcogold"), that this is actually a different source altogether, and an uncirculated one, too! The recording runs slow and has tempo issues from time to time, but someone experienced might be able to remaster it. The sound is much more bassy than the 1st source and muddy as well. There are hardly any cuts throughout the tape, only one in Dazed and Confused. I have left Dazed and Confused as two tracks. If you burn without pauses between tracks or just paste this into your player, you will nonetheless hear it exactly as it was on my tapes. Rain Song and Stairways To Heaven are both complete and uncut. I am not the TOTAL Led Zeppelin nut, but it seems like this is one of the better March 73 performances and I am happy to give you this new, historic recording.

Notes: Lineage: Reel(M)(?) (> Cass) > Cass > CDR > wav Olvator's cassettes, transferred by DocTinker in 2018 with manual azimuth adjustment Additional lineage: wav > flac > Adobe Audition 3.0.1* > flac Tracked with CD Wave, encoded to flac 8 with TLH, tagged with foobar2000 * - speed drops during first three songs smoothed out - from speed drop at start of BD > end 95.8 shrink - 16 secs of overlap after DAC removed - interference line below 16kHz filtered out - parametric EQ applied on parts, slightly pushing mids and highs - some static and a few digital clicks removed Note: better transfer than the one from 2009, transferred by DocTinker with a clean WLL. Olvator received the cassettes, which could also be first gen copies, from the taper in the 90s. The show was most likely taped on a reel deck. The last part after the tape flip during WLL has some tape degradation. Revised by Bert13/pernod June 2019
