Notes: Eric Clapton - Double Image Parts 1+2 Edmonton, Alberta (11 Sep. 1998) and Earl's Court, London (15 Oct. 1998) http://www.geetarz.org/reviews/clapton/double-image.htm I haven't seen this set of shows on DIME in awhile, and I was just listening to them again and thinking to myself how great they are! So I'm reposting from ZOMB. Thanks to bbanderic who first posted this show on DIME from the original silvers. DESCRIPTION: Double Feature is an ESSENTIAL pair of concerts for any serious or casual Eric Clapton fan. The sound quality is stunning--Geetarz rates these concerts as SB7, a previously nonexistent rating, because they shattered the SB6 ceiling for measuring the audio quality of Clapton boots. The concerts are definitely the best-sounding Clapton boots I've ever heard, marred only by a handful of isolated moments across the 4 CDs where there is some high-volume distortion. The concerts present a wonderful mix of Pilgrim songs and classic Clapton concert fare, many of which feature 20-piece orchestral backing. Happy trading and listening. Lineage: Original Silvers > EAC (secure) > WAV > FLAC Frontend (level 6, align on SB's, Verify) > D

Notes: Eric Clapton Coliseum Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) September 11, 1998 "Double Image" Lineage: Original silvers => DAT => CDR => EAC => Audigy Audio Cleaning Lab => CDR => EAC => FLAC Got this one in trade a couple of years ago on DAT, and the inelegant lineage above captures the fact that I needed to transfer it back to CDR. Despite the awkward method, each step was a secure digital transfer, and to my ears upon playing the whole thing back I couldn't find any errors. This soundboard smokes. I'm not the biggest fan of the "Pilgrim" tour, but this is a good performance and good setlist from an artist who doesn't change his song selection very often. "Alberta" alone makes it worth the download.
