I was able to edit out these pops using Cool Edit Pro. I then retracked using CD-Wav to assure that the track breaks were cut on proper sector boundries to avoid pops. Overall, the qualityof this show is great and about as good as it gets for a Marley recording.

Various sources indicate that it is 2/11/78, but two of these tracks, Lay Down Sally and Cocaine, seem to be identical to the tracks on Crossroads II from Santa Monica 2/12/78. Did Clapton play his solos exactly the same way on consecutive nights? Seems more likely that this disk is in fact from 2/12/78. The cover also gets the lineup wrong. It should be: EC (guitar, vocals) Carl Radle (Bass George Terry (Guitar) Jamie Oldaker (Drums) Dick Sims (Keyboards) Marcy Levy (Vocals)

Any flaws are on the source discs and I have not cleaned anything up. All in all the sound quality on these discs are very good. Enjoy!

The buzz was not only for the incredible show, but also for the never before heard demos! Tracks 18 - 23 were previously unsurfaced ( they are mislabeled as "Fecal Matter Demos"). The bonus tracks included "Bambi Slaughter," "Clean Up Before She Comes," "Black & White Blues," the "About a Girl" and "Drain You" demos, and then the complete "Beans" which included the intro that was missing from "Outcesticide III" (better sound quality also). These tracks were later released as part of "Outcesticide IV - Rape Of The Vaults" (same source). 10-12-91 is one of the best Nirvana shows ever recorded and can be found on at least three seperate discs. The vocals are blistering and extremely solid. The drums are a little loud and drown out the bass somewhat, but the performace is raw and full of energy. An early "Rape Me" & "Lounge Act" would have been nice additions to the setlist, but there can't be any complaints about the songs that were performed. A few times during the show, stage divers knock over the mic stand and the vocals are lost for a few seconds (Krist tells them to watch it.) It's a fun show to listen to and a favorite among Nirvana bootleg collectors. This is a MUST HAVE for any Nirvana fan!

The tape was labeled with felt tip on masking tape and appears to have resided on someone's car floor or dashboard for a few years. No, copies of this tape are not available - but I can try to post the setlist some day, if I ever figure it out. ;-)" [Setlist not yet provided, though rumored to include covers of Who songs.]

Tweezer Repris (ENCORE) (03:19) ******************************* *******ABOUT THIS SOURCE******* ******************************* This is an attempt to patch together a variety of sources and achieve the best possible combination of sources of this great show. Here are the details: ________________________________________________________________________ Source #1: SBD>Cass1>DAT>Editing (audience patches in It's Ice, Tweezer and first few seconds of Lifeboy)>CDR Tranfer/Editing: Kevin Shapiro NOTES: Sorry, I don't have any further info as to the audience tape source or the equipment used in the audience patch. It is likely from the AKG460 rig that he often used in '94. However, this is all the information included with the discs that I recieved. ________________________________________________________________________ Source #2: SBD>Cass1>DAT>CDR (complete Tweezer, missing end of It's Ice [fades out at 7:56]) NOTES: An inferior sounding SBD copy to the one above. Plays fast, levels are saturated, etc. Unknown tranfer info. ________________________________________________________________________ Because Kevin's source (Source #1) was the better of the two sources, I've used as much of it as possible for the recording. This means that everything except the changes described below has been extracted (using EAC in secure mode) from the copies that Kevin provided. The following is a summary of the edits that I did, using Cool Edit 2000 and CDWav. Fixes: 1. Fixed the speed for It's Ice on Source #2 (stretch ratio of 102) 2. Patched the SBD portion that Source #1 was missing from It's Ice (@4:11), and then the remaining missing part of the track from the Aud source (@8:11). This makes the most complete SBD source, with the proper ending supplied from the audience tape. 3. Tracking for Horn fixed on Source #1 4. Fixed the speed for Tweezer on Source #2 (stretch ratio of 102) 5. Patched the missing SBD segment of Tweezer on Source #1 with the fixed Source #2 Tweezer (@10:24). 6. Patched ~4 missing seconds from YEM (@ 11:26), using same procedures as above. ________________________________________________________________________ ____ Known Flaws: There are still a few anomalies on the recording which I didn't bother trying to fix, for fear of over-editing. Specifically: -a fast fade-out after Dog Faced Boy -a slightly rough switch to the Source #1 audience recording at the very beginning of Lifeboy.

To me it captures the true spirit of Phish. It happened as we were walking to the bus to leave the venue. somebody said play us one and we said sure and the roadies got our stuff. i was already holding my banjo which probably started the whole thing. I was on tour with them to teach them bluegrass and had been playing with them on stage some at night. Hoist was being released at the time and i actually played with them on that material at night as well as the bgrass set. though they really didn't know bgrass and had just been playing for a short while, this truly captured the spirit of the music because of their openess, talent, and what i call that "wonderful phish curiosity". i was touched to hear this because when you boil it all down this is what it's all about. the people just want to hear the music and truly i didn't wanna leave. you can hear the joy. i lead the jam as phish had never really done that before. when we got on the bus they were so happy that we did it and i think they felt, maybe for the first time, the true spirit of what bgrass and folk music is all about. the jam turned out to be the most important thing that i taught them. thanks for sharing it. i am touched. Truly, "rev" Jeff Mosier Blueground Undergrass www.bluegroundundergrass.com

Colonel Forbin doesn't meet Icculus this timebut rather finds "Ken Uncle Sam Bozo Easy Kesey". At this time Kesey, dressed as Uncle Sam, appearson the stage and accounces that the Bozos have been missing for two years but are on Phish tour now. He calls one by one the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and Frankenstein (Phish breaks into "Frankenstein") to help him find the Bozos, which soon appear as four white things in costume. After singing about the Bozos which are doing interpretive dance, the Pranksters all leave the stage after Kesey hears the "Bozo Mockingbird". Trey comments that this is what happens "after you do too much acid 30 years later..." Phish had been playing background music (including McGrupp and Ghost teases) which had developed by this point into a deep funk jam. Trey announces that "we are supposed to start 'Famous Mockingbird', but the funk is too deep." The band continues the funk jam and eventually segues into "Camel Walk."

??/??/85 The Apollo Theatre New York NY SHN 1 Run DMC 1985 The Apollo Theater New York City, NY I received this CD in a trade and am not sure excatly what the source of this recording is although clearly it comes originally from an FM broadcast. There are a few flaws (odd cuts) on this CD and a few moments where the DJ talks over the music. Nevertheless, if you like Run DMC, this is a special CD and the music sounds great! When I received this CD, it had test beeps placed over most of the swearing on this CD. I removed them by applying a very tight notch filter over just the parts with the test tone. I was going to attempt to use the pencil tool in Sound Forge to clean up the wave form but would have taken me forever.. if anyone has the patience or knows another way please do so and email me at my email above. Notes ----- If you know the songs I dont have song names to please complete this and let me know. I saw disc 2 is set 2 b/c of how the tape was. After I Zimbra on the DAT it cuts off after some crowd. No levels at all then cuts back in with crowd and then tney start playing swamp. Almost seems like a set break occured but no real way to tell.

03/07/67 The Matrix San Francisco CA SHN 4 Doors Date: 03/07/67 and 03/10/67 Location: San Francisco, CA Venue: Matrix Club Title: Complete Matrix Club Tapes CDs: 4 Quality: st-sb 9 Source: sb>?>CDR MyGen: unknown gen CDR Notes: After The Doors had returned from their two day concert at Chet Helm's Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, they were booked in to play at the Matrix Club, situated at 3138 Fillmore Street, San Francisco. The Doors played there from Tuesday, March 7 until Saturday, March 11 performing three sets a night with fifteen minute breaks in between each set. The Doors were scheduled to play at the Matrix Club from "9.30 p.m - 2a.m." with "Minors welcome", as advertised in the San Francisco Chronicle. The owner of this club, Marty Balin, vocalist of Jefferson Airplane, had installed a reel to reel tape recorder to tape his own group, but The Doors took up the opportunity and decided to record their own performances as well. All of the three sets that were played on Tuesday night were recorded. Unfortunately on Friday night, after The Doors had completed their second set and returned to play the third set, the sound engineer had apparently forgotten to turn on the tape recorder and only got to record the last portion of "The End". These recordings at present are the most complete recordings available in their entirety with no over dubbing or shoddy recordings, just in the same way The Doors had played them during their one week performance in March. By far, these shows are one of the best live recordings that The Doors have ever recorded. Session Thing 35:27 This is the often talked about session that Jimi recorded with the members of Traffic (Steve Winwood's band at the time). This is an excellent quality recording from OH BOY...JOIN THE DE LUXE WAY. As the CD arts tells you "This session was recorded at an unknown place in the late 60's." I finally learned to use Power Post 2000 (Thanks a bunch Stormy Weather!!!) so I'll be able to post the single missing files that may be missing on different newsgroups. Please label reposts as ATTN: TRIZMaster and I will repost to the alt.binaries.test group. Enjoy! TRIZMaster

12/07/82 Taft School Watertown CT SHN 1 Space Antelope December 7, 1982 Taft School Watertown, CT. Space Antelope was Trey's high school band. This show doesn't sound too bad considering its age and rarity. Trey sings on "All along the Watchtower" but it is unclear if he sings anything else other than backing vocals on other songs. You can pick him out during the banter between the band and the crowd though. Highlights include "All Along the Watchtower", "Franklin's Tower", Rush's "Hemispheres" and a trippy "Fluff's Travels". This is a rare piece of Phishtory and all you diehards ought to love it. Enjoy this treat!!!! - Weaselfee ;^) The Space Antelope lineup: Steve Pollack (The Dude of Life) - vocals Trey Anastasio - guitar and vocals Rob "Flash" Gordon - guitar and vocals Dud Taft - bass Doug Parsons - drums Seeded by Ben Mohr (bmohr@udel.edu) carini.etree.org Updated date and Text information by weaselfee ;^) ------ 1.
